The Holidays are my favorite time of the year. Of course I know I'm not the only one who loves celebrating and excuses to eat delicious treats and festive drinks. This year I actually spent time in the kitchen helping my mom cook Thanksgiving. I am not in any way a cook or enjoy cooking on a daily basis but this was actually really fun to do with my mom and sisters. I was kind of in charge of helping my sister bake this cinnamon roll apple pie recipe that she found on Pinterest by Tasty.
Although it wasn't the most delicious apple pie I've ever tasted it was all about the fun process of making it! The fact that it was edible was just a bonus! The real joy for me wasn't baking at all, it was laughing about silly things in the kitchen together. The holidays are sweet as apple pie!
After we stuffed our faces we took some pictures with the family! I am so thankful for them! It is crazy how fast time flies by, I love these family pictures each year because we really get to see how we change & grow over the years! My little sisters really aren't very little anymore.
Then we jumped into the car and drove down to Nogales, AZ to visit with my Dads family! We really ate way more than we should have but it really is hard to say no when it is staring you in the face! There really is something special about sitting around the table eating together!
I sure do love this crazy family of mine!
