April 13th, 2014 was the best day of my life because I got to marry my best friend & love of my life! Johnny and I spent the morning getting ready with our bridal party. Jumping on the bed with my friend Haley was definitely a highlight along with sipping on mimosas!
Before I knew it I was walking down the isle with my Dad, completely filled with excitement & nerves that I would trip down the isle! (Thankfully I didn't) As soon as I saw Johnny at the end of the isle all the nerves disappeared. Once Johnny turned around and looked at me we were instantly filled with happy tears looking at each other that I didn't see anyone else in that moment. My mentor Lee-Anne did the ceremony beautifully, while her husband Nate sang. My wedding day was exactly how I wanted it to be because at the end of the day I got to marry my best friend with all my friends & family there!
After we said "I DO!" we danced down the isle in so much excitement and signed the marriage license as fast as possible! Took the usual family, bridal party, & newlywed pictures! We got married at The Venue at The Grove and it was so naturally beautiful, it almost felt like we weren't in Phoenix anymore! I really wanted a wedding surrounded by trees so this was really the perfect spot! We couldn't have done it without the help of our parents! I was so thankful all our families could make it! Everyone had such a blast that it made it one big party! I felt like the luckiest bride in the world because all my dreams were coming true!
We had a pretty big bridal party but it was the absolute best & I wouldn't have had it any other way!
My favorite part was being able to really cherish this alone time with Johnny. We had the absolute best photographers! I'm thankful to call them both friends but they are both tremendously talented behind a camera! Let the party begin! Everyone danced the night away under the twinkling lights on that perfect April night! It flew by so fast and we really didn't want it to end!
Johnny and I love Ice Cream way more than cake so an Ice Cream Truck of unlimited Ice Cream for everyone for 2 hours was the highlight of the night!
Before we knew it the night was coming to a close & then began an adventurous journey together!
We've been married for three years now and every day I'm more thankful for Johnny! I'm also way more in love with him than I was on our wedding day! I've learned so much about myself since I've been married, Johnny makes me a better person and constantly is challenging me to grow! Johnny really is the best gift from God and I feel closer to God when I'm with him!
"God created love as a beautiful and generous gift that we get to choose, its a choice, an action, a cost, everyday...much deeper than a feeling. Learning how to love each other every day in this union called marriage is good good news!"
All of the amazing people bellow I would recommend to anyone because they are all so talented in their craft! I am so thankful for each one of them for being apart in making that day so special for us! We couldn't say thank you enough!
